The Sound Of Music Tampa Theatre reviews
Dave and Darnell Rocked...but...
"I was expecting a little more from both of them with 20+ years in the industry each. The orchestra added nothing to DJ Premier's set and he was boring. The bass was ridiculously overwhelming to the point you couldn't understand any lyrics in the music. In NYC, I don't think Janelle Monae should have closed out the show or performed longer than Busta Rhymes. Lastly, while I enjoyed the energy of Janelle Monae's performance, I was a bit disappointed in DJ Premier and The Sound Of Music. I should have gone to the show featuring Nas. The Sound Of Music was too short and had no additional guests."
